“The right of the people to keep
and bear arms is an extension of the natural right to self-defense and a
hallmark of personal sovereignty. It is specifically insulated from
governmental interference by the Constitution and has historically been the
linchpin of resistance to tyranny.
“...The principal reason the
colonists won the American Revolution is that they possessed weapons equivalent
in power and precision to those of the British government. If the colonists had
been limited to crossbows that they had registered with the king’s government
in London, while the British troops used gunpowder when they fought us here,
George Washington and Jefferson would have been captured and hanged.”

I've run into some on the Left who were actually happy about the Sandy Hook massacre because it might move the country further along the government gaining more fascist power, and the human rights protected in the Constitution, particularly the 2nd Amendment, become more and more eroded because they are inconvenient to those who hold the power.
ReplyDeleteMayor Bloomberg made a statement recently in which he actually looks forward to another gun massacre.
dmarks;
ReplyDeleteIf that's true, those those people 'on the left' are despicable.
It takes a true monster to be happy that a bunch of kids were slaughtered. Again, If that's true. I, myself, haven't seen anything other than universal disgust and horror over what happened.
As for Mr. Bloomberg: I can't find that statement anywhere. Where'd you see that he made that statement?
