Questions the Left Won't Answer #5

Is it ever okay for a Republican president to take the U.S. to war?

The left is generally anti-war, but not everyone on the left is anti-war. Based on recent history, however, it appears that everyone on the left is anti-war if a Republican president is in charge. A Republican president, according to the left, never has good motives when taking us to war. The only reason they really go to war is to plunder another country’s oil or to impose our way of life.

A Democratic president, on the other hand, always has the best of intentions and would never take us to war for the wrong reasons. Whether it’s to free an oppressed people (except Iraqis) or overthrow a dictator (except Saddam Hussein), Democrats always go to war “responsibly.” It makes me wonder if someone on the left would ever think it’s okay for a Republican president to go to war…

  2. No, Bret. Do you have a point, or are you just trying to show that you won't answer the question honestly either?

  3. We really only have Bush to look at here, so I would say waiting until Romney has a chance to go to war is what we have to do.

With that said, I think if Romney does go to war, he should call it what it "is", "stimulus", or am I reading Keynes wrongly?

Give those democrats "stimulus", democrats love "stimulus".
